Remastered by Mr. Sifter, Dec. 2023.
As the ABB estate continues to virtually ignore the 90's in their archival activities, figured it was worth spending some time on this one, from the short-lived initial reunion lineup that included Johnny Neel very prominently on piano. A full six songs from Seven Turns plus Dickeys "The Blues Ain't Nothin" which was only played in '89-90.
The lineage of the source I had to work off was unknown, but it definitely sounds like at least a 2nd gen copy. The first cassette side (i.e. first 46 minutes) has notably clearer quality than the rest of the show, not counting the audience patch at the end of "Whipping Post" (thank you to whoever did this!), however the whole thing is still much more listenable now. It's not going to win any awards, and unfortunately the generations from the master and tools required to make it clearer and more comparable to a proper release equated to less dynamic range than I would like.
