Remastered by Mr. Sifter, Sept. 2024

Soundboard from the short-lived Derek/Dickey combo. Narrowed the extreme stereo imaging for better/more natural headphone listening, tightened up the bass frequencies. Not quite up to official release standards but a nice compliment to the somewhat underwhelming Peakin' At The Beacon album.

Gregg Allman – organ, piano, guitar, vocals
Dickey Betts – lead and slide guitars, vocals
Derek Trucks – lead and slide guitars
Oteil Burbridge – bass
Butch Trucks – drums
Jaimoe – drums
Marc Quiñones – percussion

Simon & Garfunkel - Vancouver, BC August 22, 1983 "Listen To The Silence" (Mr. Sifter Remaster)

Simon & Garfunkel
BC Place Stadium
Vancouver, British Columbia
August 22, 1983

lineage: from silvers "Listen to the Silence">EAC>FLAC > remaster

Remastered by Mr. Sifter, August 2024.

Remastering notes:

Removed a 60hz hum present throughout most of the recording, as well as reduced some (not all) of the hiss from clearly a cassette source. Did some modest polishing to the sound, added very slight reverb to make it feel a bit more like a live album (BC Place can hold 60,000 for concerts), but without detracting from the detail in the soundboard. Removed the annoying close clapper between songs. Removed the break between discs for a seamless transition. Retracked the show to split medleys.

A good show towards the end of the reunion tour, with a few notable arrangement differences from the Central Park gig, several different band members, a couple S&G songs not performed in 1981, and three 'Hearts and Bones' songs.

Remastered and speed corrected by Mr. Sifter, July 2024. Some songs have incomplete intros/outros, and "Southbound" has a cut in the middle. Not anyone's favorite era but an overlooked era, with full 5 songs off 'Brothers Of The Road,' an album they'd never return to again after the tour ended a couple months later.

Bob Seger - Ebbets Field, Denver, CO July 8, 1974 (Mr. Sifter Remaster)

"Get Out of Denver" (Mr. Sifter Remix & Remaster)
Ebbets Field,
Denver, CO
July 8th, 1974

Source: Pre-FM -> ?? -> FLAC -> DemixPro 5 -> Logic Pro. Remixed & Remastered by Mr. Sifter, Dec. 2023.

The original source is supposedly the original reel-to-reel used for the broadcast, so tackling this one was more a task of stereo positioning and some minor EQ. The original tape had guitars hard right and keys hard left, this may be preferable to hear the individual players but awkward to listen to on headphones. I wanted it to have more of an "in the room" feel like a good live recording should, so while the guitars and keys are still spread, it's a narrower spread that hopefully is closer to what the room may have sounded like, especially given the venue's small size (apparently less than 250 capacity).
